Still reading your book and listened to a few of your interviews - your thought have been re-affirming to someone who has embarked on a crazy journey coming from the future

Hey Mike, thanks for the work that you do. I'm still listening to the audio book and only just subscribed to your substack. I wished I had known about the webinar before today.

As for the book content, Our company is building a new category of enterprise solution as confirmed with The Category Design Advisors (Mike Damphouse), I also follow Christopher Lockhead and the Play Bigger crew. So, the integration of Category Design languaging is very evident in your book.

You've taken it further by integrating Category Design with PFF, and some useful metrics to evaluate the idea/business. Upon completion of the book, I will provide a list of questions.

Enjoying the audiobook this week since I've been doing a lot of driving, so nice multitasking. Loving the book so far, especially all of the examples that bring the concepts to life. It got me googling who bought Justin Kan's first startup on eBay and why... and thinking about how to apply Pattern Breakers-type thinking when evaluate CPG startups (maybe I'm just not willing to admit yet that most of them aren't breaking a pattern, they're really just improvements) or are most of those just at such a smaller scale compared to big tech... Great food for thought this week - thanks for writing this book AND for doing your own voice on the audiobook. Always a nice touch.

I won’t be able to make it to the Zoom call, but I’m currently writing my thoughts in an article for ‘Tech Books’ which I’ll publish in 2 weeks :)

Nice work on the book!

Hey Mike, unfortunately it will be on at 3am on the west coast of Aus but bought the book because I really appreciate the original thinking you display in your writing and interviews (both as host and subject). Looking forward to it arriving here! Best Toby

The book resonated with me enough to order back in May, because (1) I felt like there was a missing piece in my understanding of why certain startups made it and others didn't and (2) I wanted to invest in learning how to maximise my chance of solving the problem I'm trying to solve. And (3) I loved the Thunder Lizards talk so knew I'd enjoy this book too.

So far I'm most looking forward to reading about inflections. I think that might be a major part I'm missing.
